Machines, production lines and law – seminar during the Industrial Spring 2025 in Kielce
“Machines, production lines and law” is a seminar organized by our Law Firm as part of the Industrial Spring 2025, held at Targi Kielce.
The Industrial Spring is an event that brought together over 700 exhibitors from 21 countries.
For several days, the exhibition halls of Targi Kielce became a working factory. All machines can be seen in operation, which makes it easier to make business decisions. What machines could be seen? Machine tools, cutting machines, bending machines, CNC machines, entire robotic lines, industrial robots, specialized machines for foundry, welding machines, microscopes, 3D printers.
We have a lot to say about machines and production lines in the context of law.
The event „Machines, production lines and the law” was divided into three thematic blocks:
Part 1: Machines, contracts and the law
The seminar participants learned how to create contracts that guarantee both legal security and transaction profitability. They learned effective ways to protect the interests of the parties during the sale of production technologies.
The speakers in this part were Marcin Sarapata attorney-at-law and Małgorzata Majkowska attorney-at-law.
Part 2 Sale of machines in the international context
In the next part, we discussed the challenges resulting from the international sale of machines and production lines.
Proper preparation of documentation and awareness of foreign law, continental and Anglo-Saxon law, with reference to specific situations, the moment of transfer of ownership, customs, conventions, are of key importance.
The speakers in this part were Andrzej Mikulski attorney-at-law, Małgorzata Majkowska attorney-at-law and Svitlana Gliwinska Ukrainian advocate, who spoke in particular about the enforcement of judgments and legal security in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region – Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan.
At our invitation, in the Part 1 and 2 representatives of Bank PKO BP informed about the financial instruments that can be used by entities purchasing industrial machines, including those financed through leasing. Speakers abovementioned would like to thank our Guests of Bank PKO BP for participating in the seminar and we are glad that we could be part of such an impressive event as Industrial Spring 2025.
Part 3 Intellectual property and the role of artificial intelligence
The final part of the seminar focused on the protection of intellectual property and the role of artificial intelligence in modern production technologies. Patents, copyrighted works, computer programs, industrial designs, utility models – that was the essence of this part of our seminar.
Experts indicated how AI changes the legal and technological landscape in the context of designing and operating machines. The speakers in this part were Maciej Nycz advocate and Marcin Sarapata attorney-at-law.
